Trying to get IT access as a developer

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction regarding the NHS / PCSE Ophthalmic Payments API onboarding process.

I’ve emailed the PCSE Ophthalmics Team multiple times (including on 19 February and again recently) regarding onboarding our Practice Management System for eGOS integration, but unfortunately I haven’t received any response and I’m unsure who the correct contact is.

We are developing a PMS for opticians and are looking to integrate with the Ophthalmic Payments API for electronic submission of GOS1, GOS3, GOS4, GOS5 and GOS6 claims.

We’re specifically trying to obtain:

  • Ophthalmic Payments API / Interface Specification

  • Sandbox or UAT environment access

  • TLS Mutual Authentication onboarding details

  • Supplier onboarding / accreditation requirements

If anyone knows:

  • the correct NHS / PCSE contact,

  • an alternative email,

  • or the process for supplier onboarding,

I’d really appreciate any guidance.

Many thanks,

Hi @Mohammad_Chaudhry ,

Thank you for raising your query. At present, Ophthalmic Payments API does not use the Digital Onboarding Service for their assurance process. You will need to contact the team directly using the following email address, pcse.pmsegos@nhs.net

If you do not hear back from the team, please feel free to raise a request with our Customer Service Portal

Hi Zeeshan,

Thank you for your reply and for pointing me towards the Ophthalmics Team email address.

For completeness, I had already contacted pcse.pmsegos@nhs.net on 19 February 2026 and subsequently sent a number of follow-up emails over the following months. After posting here, I did receive a response from the team confirming that onboarding documentation was being updated and that my enquiry would be handled under case reference CAS-5446223.

However, since that response, communication has again gone quiet. I have now been waiting beyond the stated response timeframe (approximately 14 working days) without any further update, despite the original enquiry having been open since February.

I have also submitted a formal complaint (reference COM-CAS-5514568-D8W1Q3) regarding the delays and lack of communication.

If there is any additional escalation route available, or if you are able to help obtain an update from the Ophthalmic Payments onboarding team, it would be greatly appreciated. We are actively developing our PMS integration and are currently blocked awaiting the onboarding documentation and technical requirements.

Many thanks for your assistance.
