MESH and GP Connect

Hey @Maria_Timson

I’m a product manager at Pharmacy2u, online pharmacy.

We currently use NHS email to communicate with GP’s on relation to any query we have in relation to a electron prescription we receive. We would like to consider using MESH for this as our current processes are inefficient and highly manual.

How do I go about getting an hour with the MESH product manager to talk about our use cases and if MESH is a good fit.

Also, I see that GP connect uses MESH for it’ messaging capability. If we were to use GP connect do we need to onboard to that AND MESH?

Cheers

Phil

p.s. another part of our business uses DOCMAN, but we would rather use MESH directly instead of the DOCMAN MESH wrapper

Hi Phil,

Assuming that you are developing your own product to connect to the MESH API (rather than downloading and running the java MESH Client from the website), then yes, you would need to onboard to the MESH API. GP Connect would also require you to complete onboarding with them. If you’ve yet to engage with the GP Connect Team, please go to https://digital.nhs.uk/services/gp-connect/direct-care-apis-use-case-submission-form and submit your use case.

Kind Regards
Paddy

Hey @paddy.yung! Thanks! p.s. this is Phil, the old PM that worked with you and the MESH MNS team  Hope you’re well!
