I Built a Warfarin Clinic Management App for the NHS — and I Need Your Help to Test It
One in every 36 UK adults over 50 takes warfarin. Yet many of the clinics managing these high-risk patients are still running on paper record books and phone callbacks.
That struck me as a problem worth solving.
After months of research, design, and development — and with direct input from people who work in NHS anticoagulation services — I’m proud to introduce Warfarin Flow Pro: a modern, cloud-based platform built specifically to help anticoagulation clinics manage warfarin patients safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
Today, I’m opening the doors to our private beta — and I’m looking for healthcare professionals who want to be among the first to experience it.

What Does Warfarin Flow Pro Actually Do?
Anticoagulation management is deceptively complex. You’re balancing INR values, dosing decisions, patient communication, safety alerts, and clinical governance — all at pace, often with limited staffing.
Warfarin Flow Pro brings all of this into one place:
:card_index_dividers: A live Today’s Clinic Board showing every outstanding task — who needs a dose, who hasn’t been informed, who’s overdue
:bar_chart: INR result recording with automated dosing recommendations based on clinical algorithms
:shield: A Safety Dashboard that flags critical INR values, adverse events, and patients with poor TTR in real time
:speech_balloon: Secure, auditable patient messaging — no more relying solely on phone callbacks
:clipboard: Communication templates for result letters, GP notifications, and patient reminders
:chart_increasing: Service Analytics tracking your clinic’s TTR performance and quality indicators
:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Full patient registry with NHS number search, indication, target range, and complete test history
:locked_with_key: Role-based access for administrators, clinicians, and support staff
It’s everything a modern anticoagulation service needs — built for mobile and desktop, designed with clinical safety as the foundation.

Why Am I Building This?
I’m a developer with a strong interest in digital health — and a frustration with the gap between what technology can do and what clinical teams are actually given to work with. When I learned that anticoagulation services — managing one of the UK’s most high-risk medicines — often rely on tools that haven’t fundamentally changed in decades, I wanted to do something about it.
Warfarin Flow Pro is the platform I’d want to exist if I were running a clinic. Clean, fast, safe, and built around real clinical workflows rather than IT procurement checklists.

Who Am I Looking For?
For our private beta, I’m specifically looking for:
:white_check_mark: Pharmacists and anticoagulation clinic leads in NHS or private practice
:white_check_mark: GP practices running their own warfarin monitoring services
:white_check_mark: Community pharmacists involved in anticoagulation management
:white_check_mark: Clinical governance leads with an interest in digital quality improvement
:white_check_mark: Healthcare IT professionals evaluating modern alternatives to legacy systems

Let me know where I can improve. My idea came from my partner who attends St Luke’s Warfarin Clinic due to a life saving operation. She suffered Endocarditis and has a prosthetic valve. St Luke’s is my partner’s life now every 2 weeks. Bradford would save 12 million pounds in savings a year, if they did not using the yellow book. Using this software could save so much money in the NHS from experience.
Kind regards

Kevin Smith
