Digital onboarding - Error occurred adding product

I am receiving this error trying to add “NHS Login API” product to our registration. We already have a legacy incomplete registration which may be causing this issue which is now labelled “NHS Login-LEG”.

I’m assuming this reference relates to “legacy” hence the attempt to begin a new registration for NHS Login API.

Can someone provide advice on the best course to progress this please.

Thank you for posting your question - I can assist.

The Digital Onboarding Service has moved to a single assessment flow as of 19th November 2025. The API of “NHS Login-LEG” indeed refers to a legacy API (legacy = the old flow type).

As the product contains a legacy, former flow API, you cannot add the new single assessment instance of the API to that same product. For that reason, you will need to create a new product (with a new product name) and add “NHS login API” to this newly created product to start your assurance.
