What’s a channel?

A channel enables you to chat privately to other channel members (like Slack channels). Channels are accessible only by members of specific groups.

How do I join a channel ?

Team owners will add you to a channel. They will notify you, letting you know the name of the channel to which you’ve been adde d.

To join, follow these ste ps:

  1. Sign in to Developer Community (or sign up if you’re not already a memb er).

  2. Find CHANNELS in the left toolbar (if you can’t see this, select the burger navigation at the top r ight)

  3. Select the pencil icon next to CHANNELS, a panel wil l open

  4. You will see the channel to which you’ve been added – select Join

  5. Select the back arrow at the top, and you’ll see the channel(s) that you’v e joined

  6. Select the channel to open it – then pin it to the left panel using the st ar icon

Hi, is there a channel for PDS and if so how do I get invited?

Hi, thanks for your message. I don’t think we have a private channel for PDS. You can raise a new topic on the open PDS category: Latest Personal Demographics Service (PDS) topics - NHS England Developer Community.
If I can update with any further news regarding a private channel I will do that here.
