Issue with finding client identifier for CIS2 authentication

We’ve successfully onboarded our application on the Developer hub, and connected Identity Service (Development).

However, we can only see our Application ID and API key. There is no client identifier.

We have seen there is a registration_endpoint in the configuration information (from accessing the appropriate configuration document at the well-known endpoints).

However it is unclear how to use this to obtain the client identifier for our application. It is also unclear if the client identifier is a one-off, or must be obtained every time before the user can begin authenticating. The information present on the Registration page is insufficient.

Do we retrieve our client ID for each application environment by contacting england.nhscareidentityauthentication@nhs.net?

Hi, you would need to contact the onboarding team who will help in setting up CIS2 client IDs. In our INT environment you can use the “connection manager” too to automatically configure clients, but would need to speak to the onboarding team to be set up
