Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share that I’m creating an app called Track My Copper, designed to support people living with Wilson’s disease (WD)—a rare genetic condition that I have personal experience with.
Wilson’s disease is often misunderstood, and because so few people have heard of it, many patients face years of misdiagnosis. This delay can have serious consequences for health and quality of life. My goal with Track My Copper is to provide tools that make daily management easier while also raising much-needed awareness.
The app will include features such as:
-
Symptom tracking to monitor changes over time
-
Medication reminders to support treatment adherence
-
A copper counter to help manage diet
-
A medical alert card for emergencies
-
Community features to connect patients and caregivers
…and more.
I believe this app can provide real value—not just for patients and families, but also for the NHS. By improving symptom tracking, treatment adherence, and patient awareness, it has the potential to relieve pressure on healthcare teams and serve as a useful point of discussion in patient care.
Ultimately, this app is just one step toward a bigger mission: raising awareness of Wilson’s disease. My hope is that one day, health professionals will routinely consider WD as a possible diagnosis—helping more patients get the right care, sooner.
My question is how do I go about introducing Track My Copper into the NHS
