eRS APIs - Downloading legecy referral data. Attachments Data Retention

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows the retention period for the referral reference and attachment data accessible via APIs. We are trying to retrieve the referrals and attachments from 2018 and API request returns the error “Not Found” suggesting that the referral does not exist.

I was wondering if anyone else have tried to download legacy referral data via APIs?

Hi @mustansar.hussain - Thanks for reaching out.

The current retention period for referrals in e-RS is 18 months, or 550 days to be exact.

There are various business rules which work out if a particular referral on a pathway has had no activity for this period. If so, the entire pathway is archived. This includes any associated attachments.

Archived referrals are then no longer accessible from integrated GP or provider systems, or the API.
