Cancel appointment, action later (A022, FHIR STU3)

Please can you clarify the purpose of A022, and whether this is a mandatory requirement for use of (or integration with) e-RS?

We are planning to use A013 and A014 to accept/reject a referral.

To me, A022 reads like an “advanced rejection” where the referral is directly booked into a different appropriate service. Is this thinking correct?

Hi @Tim_Morgan - The A022 endpoint allows provider rebooking/redirection. It allows a clinical user to review and task an admin to either rebook or redirect the referral into another service.

It’s not mandatory, but it’s worth getting feedback from your user base whether this is something they do currently use (via the e-RS web application) and whether they require it in the integrated application.

The ‘Important notes’ section of the documentation details the scope of this action:

Thanks,
