Accessing Active API Key for Production Application

When trying to view Active API Key using Log in to NHS Digital developer account ,
it is asking to enter “one-time” code . After adding one-time code using the authenticator APP, it complains of code being wrong-The Authenticator code is invalid. Not sure what is wrong here? is there a way of viewing the API key using onboarding platform supplied?

I’ve already raised a support ticket with support.digitalservices@nhs.net supplied with the support number CS1532620 but have not hear anything for over 2 weeks.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your post, and sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing this issue.

The error shown in your screenshot indicates that the authentication platform is rejecting the one-time code generated by your authenticator app, rather than there being an issue with your API key itself.

Can you double check the following :

  • Ensure the date and time on your mobile device are set to automatic. Time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) rely on your device clock being synchronised, and even a small time drift can cause the code to be rejected.
  • Verify that you’re using the correct authenticator entry if you have multiple NHS Digital developer accounts configured in your authenticator app.
  • Try generating a fresh code and entering it before it expires (the code refreshes approximately every 30 seconds).

If you’re still unable to sign in, it’s possible that the authenticator registered against your developer account needs to be reset.

Please check and above and contact us if the issues persist. We will review your support ticket: CS1532620 and check on its status.

Thanks,

HI navin, after going to the one time page again, the page provided a QR code for me to scan to generate a new authentication account on my authentication app which has managed to generate a on time code which allows to login.

Hi Sean,

Glad that you have been able to resolve the authenticator account issue which caused the error.

I will add a note to your original support ticket (CS1532620) and get it closed.

Thanks,
