You mentioned "Systems and People" in your NIR Security Model, is there any way for automated processes to query your system (say the night before a patient is expected to come in)?

Technically this is feasible, however as this would be a different system automating the query, the question is best answered by the supplier of that system, providing it can be achieved without changing NIR functionally. If functional changes in NIR are required to support this, then this would be considered an edge case and follow the appropriate process.
