Hello,
When calling A043 endpoint for application id: c26acdc2-88c6-4e67-8fb5-6b0222398c38 using ODS Code (app-restricted-ods-code) of Q8J5C, I get the below error
“{“meta”:{“profile”:[“https://fhir.nhs.uk/STU3/StructureDefinition/eRS-OperationOutcome-1\"]},\“resourceType\”:\“OperationOutcome\”,\“issue\”:[{\“severity\”:\“error\”,\“code\”:\“business-rule\”,\“details\”:{\“coding\”:[{\“code\”:\“NO_RELATIONSHIP\”,\“system\”:\“https://fhir.nhs.uk/STU3/CodeSystem/eRS-APIErrorCode-1\”,\“display\”:\"No relationship”}]},“diagnostics”:“No legitimate relationship with referral (000049832221).”}]}”
FYI on this application id the ODS code S8R7R works without any issues
Can you please let me know what this would be? Can the same application id not be used for multiple ods codes?
The correlation id is 8f54ed8f-3358-41f0-bee0-53b9e53c25af and request id is ee0a5cf8-f7a0-4aa9-a1f1-2b69e2fea5e1-1
Hi Medefer,
Thanks for your query.
The No Relationship error occurs because in application-restricted access mode, the ODS code used to determine your legitimate relationship with a referral is the one registered against you application in APIM, not the value you send in the app-restricted-ods-code request header.
Your application (ASID 200000002666) is registered with ODS co S8R7R. When you call the A043 endoint, the system checks whether S8R7R has a legitimate relationship with referral 000049832221. Since this referral is associated with a service under Q8J5C, the check fails and you receive the No Relationship error.
So to answer your question directly, a single application ID in app-restricted mode is bound to one ODS code. You cannot use it to access referrals belonging to a different organisation.
Please let us know is you need further assistance.
George
Thanks for clarifying George.
I have now created a new application(ab732e35-8f5f-4860-9712-ab7dada8635f) for application restricted access for accessing Q8J5C. I assume there is more setup that need to happen on ERS end for this to become functional, can you please do the needful?
Any update on the above @George_Craft
Hello
So if you create a new application it wont work without our team configuring it. And we generally limit this to x2apps in test (one for user and one for app restricted)
It looks like we already setup an application restricted app (in 2025) under app id
c26acdc2-88c6-4e67-8fb5-6b0222398c38
Is there any reason this one cannot be used?
Hello,
We need to be able fetch various referral details for multiple ODS codes and need to be able to test this, which is reason why we are requesting one additional app on application restricted access
Makes sense, okay - just to clarify you want
ab732e35-8f5f-4860-9712-ab7dada8635f
linked to Q8J5C
If yes, we’ll make a request for ASID to be created
Thanks for understanding, yes please
Hi, can you please confirm the INT UUID you would like linking to this application?
