Way to Search for Healthcare Worker?

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to search healthcare workers by name, prefix, or other basic information? I noticed that the Healthcare Worker API only supported lookups using the CIS identifier (unique UUID for each worker), but instead looking for a way to determine if a worker exists based on their information. Is this possible?

If the above is not possible, then I’m wondering what ways there are to obtain the CIS identifier for a given worker? Is there some directory or lookup service for this?

Hi Jason,

You’re right, the Healthcare Worker API currently only allows you to look up a healthcare worker based on their UUID. That said, we are collecting requirements / use cases to improve the API, so it might be possible in the future. Can you give some more details on your use case? What’s the context? Why do you want/need to look up a healthcare worker based on their name? What other constraints do you have/need e.g. within a specific organisation?
