Same use case, different client - do we need to onboard again?

This question is from NW Genomics (or NW GMSA) but have similar ask from another organisation.

As an organisation we have already onboarded to PDS FHIR Api (we may have used a pre re-org name). Can we add a new application or do we need to go through onboarding?

Hi @Kevin_Mayfield

I spoke to the team and they said this depends if you are referring to the same product.

  • If you are adding an additional end user organisation to your existing product, you will not need to onboard again, however we would ask for an RFC (Request for Change) to be submitted so that our records shows how you are using the data.

  • If you are wanting to extend the use case for the same product, or are making technical changes to how you use the data, we would also need an RFC submitting for us to review the new requested use case and assess if this would require any additional assurance.

  • If you are asking to add a new connecting product, then the new product would need to be assured.

You may inform us of changes via our portal (for further assistance on how to use the portal, please see guidance). The guidance provides instructions how to self-register for an account if you do not have access to the portal.

Hope that helps.
Jenna
