Does PDS Int environment get it’s test data reloaded?
In our region we are finding many test systems (across multiple trusts) using the same test patients. I think these originally came from HSCIC or NHS Digital for pathology testing at a national level.
We are a similar regional diagnostic testing (genomics) and in the process of getting regional test patients added to PDS but while we do that we are using the old diagnostics test patients.
The reason I ask the question is PDS Int is giving quite different details to the old pathology test set. All the older NHS Numbers exist on PDS Int Names, date or birth and gender are different and this is likely to cause issues when we add in PDS FHIR API.
Yes
I was more interested in the life cycle. This original data was from NHS England predecessors, and EMIS, TPP, labs, etc were asked to use it.
We may need to do the similar. It will causes issues if it’s changed (like date of birth or gender changing - these are normally used to complement NHS number for patient matching)
Those patients certainly pre-date NHSD and HSCIC and even before NPfIT/Spine 1. You may be right that they were for originally for pathology, possibly PMIP around 2000. I’ve got a vague recollection that they may even have been around before that for some of the old NHSIA/Exeter systems.

We’ve started the process of creating a new laboratory test set (for NHS NW Genomics).
