We have customers ( developers) who have requested a sharepoint site in NHS M365 tenant, and this has been created. However they have found that they cannot delete subsites, probably due to tenant wide policies. Is anyone aware of any NHS support documention re how to get subsites deleted ? I am hoping that we don’t have to contact Accenture each time.

I have reached out to the team and gotten the response below:
“It has to be raised with the desk but there are some nuances due to Global Retention Policy on SP sites. For an SPO or subsite to be deleted we need to remove this temporary GRP, For SPO site collection (site level)

LA raise a ticket with Helpdesk@nh.snet requesting for Site Deletion and SharePoint GRP Temp removal

CIO/CTO/Director approval is required and accept the risk and this needs to be attached on the ticket
Once received and signoff - we will remove the site on GRP and delete the site collection ( this can be restored after 93 days post deletion)
For Subsites - the LA just need to request the SharePoint GRP Temp removal and attached the approvals once the GRP is removed on the site the site owners can now delete the subsite themselves”
