Current position
The current BaRS Endpoint Catalogue stores the relationship between a Service ID or Target Identifier and the physical receiver endpoint URL. The BaRS proxy uses that relationship to route a request to the correct receiving system.
Future direction
BaRS is developing a new Endpoint Catalogue intended to hold richer information about services, providers, organisations and suppliers. This is work in progress and should not be treated as current live capability until the future catalogue scope and release are confirmed.
