Start with the BaRS Implementation Guide and follow its seven implementation stages:
Analysis — review the principles, prerequisites, infrastructure, roles and responsibilities.
- BaRS Core — understand the common workflows, security, authorisation and error handling.
- BaRS Applications — review the Applications and use cases relevant to your proposed workflow.
- FHIR assets — review the relevant profiles, MessageDefinitions, bundles, examples and CodeSystems.
- Testing and environments — review Integration (INT), Production (PROD), TKW and the available API examples or ‘try’ functionality. The examples/try functionality is not a full sandbox environment.
- Assurance — complete the applicable Supplier Conformance Assessment List (SCAL) requirements.
- Deployment — complete deployment checks, end-to-end testing and go-live activities. The OpenAPI Specification is available directly from the BaRS OAS page and through the Implementation Guide.
