# Medical Device question / Health Institution Exemption

I have started completing Digital Onboarding for a company wanting an eRS/PDS/CIS2/Prescribing integration.

A question in DOS asks whether the solution is a medical device.

Within the solution, we are looking to build a drug-drug interaction checker using BNF-integrated data, as well as allergy alerts.

A drug-drug interaction check is classed as a medical device BUT I would say that the client we are building for is Health Institution exempt.

However, there is no option to explain this in the current question/answer format.

Please could someone advise how to move forward?
