# Is this designed for secondary care only, or for GPs and Optometrists? How are small practices, especially optometrists expected to connect?

Currently, the NIR focus is around radiology services, but there is an aspiration to expand to other imaging services. NHSE’s strategy around interoperability is that where data sharing for direct care between NHS systems is feasible - product should explore this.
