We are developing a referrer product and would like to be able to add more detail to an advice and guidance conversation that has already begun.

In the ers app it is simple to send another message. However it is not clear if this functionality is available via the API and if it is which API to use.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your query.

The functionality to reply as a referrer to an existing A&G conversation is only available through the e-RS application UI, not via the API.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply George. I can see that this is something that appears to have been specified although is not yet available. From section 2.4 here:

[Stage 1.3 - Explore our FHIR API - NHS England Digital](https://digital.nhs.uk/services/e-referral-service/api/integration-process/stage-1.3---explore-our-api)

Looking at the roadmap it doesn’t appear to be planned yet either. Do you know when it will be planned for? This is a big gap for us as we are trying to develop a product that means GPs will not have to switch between systems.

Hi Pete - forgot to respond to this. Only thing referrer side is the more tactical A&G endpoint to allow seamless login. (A044)

There’s nothing in the roadmap currently to deliver an A&G suite referrer-side, though it is a recognised gap.
